Poor Boy’s Riverside Inn has never disappointed, but last night, my waiter, Vee, served the best crawfish half & half I’ve ever eaten. Not exaggerating. Both the fried crawfish & etoufee were absolutely delicious. Now, the etoufee had a bit of a different taste, that not everyone may like? I loved it. The fried crawfish were your regular fried crawfish, but just better. They also have the best remoulade sauce! Poor Boy’s Riverside Inn is one of my favorite restaurants. I’ve always had a good time while there, & enjoyed the food. The atmosphere is calm & relaxing. There are windows at some tables where you can sit & look at the pond outside. The whole restaurant is a bit of a tucked-away surprise. Go & enjoy.

My memories visiting this place over 35 years ago brought me back this year. With all the change due to development, I almost did not find it. Glad I did! It was as good as the memories that stayed with me for so long! As a young out of town Auditor for Dresser Industries, the locals were kind enough to share this hidden treasure with me!

Although I've lived in the area all my life we visited this hidden gem recently for the first time and were thoroughly impressed. Everything we tried from their menu was amazing and we really can't wait to return. It's very rare that a restaurant lives up to all the hype but, this place went above and beyond our expectations.

The food was delicious. Staff was friendly. I enjoyed that they had a Keto menu. Made picking a low carb dinner a lot easier.

A friend of mine Rick took me by for lunch...It was beyond fantastic. Great service and the food was simply put amazing. If you look back at my reviews, few get 5 stars. This one deserves more.

I’ve been coming here with my family for years and every single time it’s a great experience. But, nothing can top the experience we had tonight. Our waiter, Spencer, was very friendly outgoing and relatable. He joked with the younger kids and made everyone feel at home. Not only was the staff friendly and relatable, but the food was hot and delicious. We’re a party of six and have a few people that are picky eaters. This local place is an Acadia staple where there is something for everyone!

So.. if you want good Cajun food, you go to Cajun Restaurants in Louisiana (Gumbo at Walk On's is not a Cajun Restaurant BTW). If you want the perfect Cajun dining experience with PERFECT CAJUN FOOD! You go here. Nestled in a quiet corner in Broussard, you will find the best service, seafood gumbo, grilled gator sausage, and grilled Redfish you have ever eaten - drop the mike! This is a very local, so be very respective - you are very much a welcome guest into the communal kitchen of Broussard. Oh, and order the Polar Bear after dinner - I won't explain what it is just trust me!!!!!

Service was great follow up by owner checking on us .her husband even came over to assist. was great appetizer great oysters half shell, crab fingers. all so fresh and nice big oysters. very good. salads we're fresh simple and also good.entres; two extravaganza w catfish excellent lobster and steak excellent grilled whole broiled was bone picking great. This is the very 1st restaurant that I tried in Louisiana, and I was not disappointed! I had their grilled fish which was absolutely delicious and it tasted super fresh! The servers are very welcoming and quick. I could not think of a better welcome in Lafayette! A+!

Phenomenal. If you like crab, order the lump crab in butter sauce. Simple. Delicious. Can't wait to go back to Louisiana and eat at this restaurant again soon! (And the sweet potato beignets...heavenly)
